Emma-Kate Francis is an award winning designer jeweller, renowned for creating uniquely timeless pieces, designed and handcrafted in her workshop in the heart of Cardiff's Victorian Castle Arcade.
Using the traditional techniques of wax carving and hand forging she creates contemporary, yet timeless jewellery using silver, gold, platinum, diamonds, semi-precious stones and freshwater pearls. Emma-Kate specialises in bespoke commissions priding herself on transforming her clients ideas into reality. 'Part of the fun of getting something made is that you can boast about it!'. |

Emma-Kate originally hails from Brighton and is a classically trained silversmith having studied for a Masters at the Royal College of Art, London. After graduating she established her career in London, basing herself in the hub of Clerkenwell before falling in love with a Welshman and deciding to move to Wales to set up her jewellery business.
The past few years have seen Emma-Kate collaborating with some of the most prestigious retailers and museums in the UK, designing homeware for the Victoria & Albert Museum and jewellery for the highly acclaimed retail jewellers, Jersey Pearl.
The bespoke bridal jewellery collection designed exclusively for Jersey Pearl, the ‘Emma-Kate Collection’, was launched at Spring Fair, 2014, and has since become a bestseller for the company.
In October 2014, Emma-Kate was asked by the Welsh Government to represent the UK as a Welsh Ambassador in the creative sector for a trade mission to Mexico and to showcase her work at Mexico Design Festival 2014 with the UKTI. Watch a video about Emma-Kate's trip to Mexico below.
Emma-Kate is a member of several guilds including The National Jewellers' Association (BJA), and The Makers Guild in Wales.
Emma-Kate's Calla-Lily Pearl Jewellery Collection was shortlisted for Bridal Collection of the Year in the UK Jewellery Awards held at the Tower Of London and was featured on the top bridal blog Love My Dress.
