Who
Hi, I’m Emma-Kate and I’ve been making silverware & jewellery ever since I graduated from the Royal College of Art back in 2002. I moved to Cardiff in 2008 - after meeting my Welsh husband in London - to set up my own jewellery design studio and have been asked many times if I do workshops – now I’ve got the perfect space to do this at my new gallery in Cardiff!
I create all my pieces by hand and would love to pass on my experience and expertise!
How
You’ll learn how to create your own personalised wide ring, a set of three stacking rings or a bangle directly from recycled sterling silver in a really relaxed and fun environment- only 4 places available. Guidance and demonstrations will be given by me throughout.
You just need to bring yourself – all equipment will be provided – we shall be using equipment that is sharp and creates dust so please no open toe shoes and wear comfortable clothing!
What is included?
- There’ll be tea, coffee and some tasty treats to enjoy – please let me know if you have any dietary requirements?
- All guidance, materials & equipment is provided to create your own finished piece.
- Don’t worry if you don’t know what to create, I will have some models on hand and be able to advise.
What’s not included?
- No stone setting, gold plating, hallmarking or engraving – these are extras if required
It is suitable for anyone who can use their hands and has some vision – you do not need to have any experience!
Suitable for;
- Over 16’s – we will be using sharp tools – please do get in touch if someone younger does want to attend as this will be possible as long as an adult is booked on too.
- Friends & family to enjoy together
- A birthday or anniversary treat
- A special present to gift
