Emma-Kate Francis is an award winning designer, jeweller and silversmith.
She creates beautiful handmade jewellery, silverware and pewter homeware, specialising in bespoke commissions. She prides herself on transforming her clients ideas into reality. 'Part of the fun of getting something made is that you can boast about it!'.
In 2009, she was commissioned by the Victoria and Albert Museum to design a range of pewterware, inspired by Archibald Knox and won the Gold award for jewellery in Craft & Design Magazine Awards. The range will be launched in January 2012, but is now available to pre-order at the V&A Shop After graduating from the Royal College of Art in 2002, with an MA Silversmithing, Emma-Kate established her career in London, basing herself in the hub of Clerkenwell. Since moving to Wales in 2008, she's opened a beautiful studio and gallery in the boutique town of Cowbridge. Emma-Kate is a member of several guilds including the Contemporary British Silversmiths (CBS), The British Jewellers' Association (BJA), and The Makers Guild in Wales. |
